need time to do sth.和 have time to do sth.是一个道理,to do 不定式作定语修饰time
I have no time to study.
I need time to have a rest.
不难理解,对不?

need time 后面加to do
表示“需要时间做某事”。
比如：
I need time to think.
我需要考虑的时间。
You need time to think things through.
你需要时间把事情想清楚。

need time中的need实义动词后加名词time。
好了，回到问题中，当你的need time“需要时间”是对人来说 后面用to do 。当主语是物时，用 doing

need to do 是固定搭配
need 后面可以加名词 例子如下：

等等
