The large-scale model studies of the dam, which were brought to failure, confirmed that the minimum safety

its design enables us to approximate the construction process of concrete dams as closely as possible to the construction process of dams formed from local materials. The reduction in the amount of concrete used in the dam is, however, extremely effective by itself. This is graphically illustrated by the data in Table 4, which indicate that material costs amount to approximately 60% of the cost of the concrete placement; in this case. the percentage is only slightly dependent on the type of dam, the location of the construction site, and the natural conditions.
