只有两种情况下使用opposite to
1）相对于.与……相对；在……对面
His store is opposite to mine.
他的店在我的对面.
He lives opposite to me.
他住在我对面.
There was a garden on the opposite side of the street.

2) 与 ...相反,相反的；对立的
