"Oh,mother,but I cleaned them yesterday ,and I cleaned them cleaner yesterday than last week" said the boy.
"They’re dirty now.You must clean them again."
"I don’t want to clean them today .If (如果) I clean them today,they will be dirty again tomorrow."
Jack’s mother thought ( think的过去式) for a few minutes and said,"All right,don’t clean them then."
In the evening ,Jack came back from school .He was very hungry.
"Mum ,give me something to eat ,please," he said.
