I had my ears pierced without asking for permission from my mother,and she is angry with me now.She can't accept the fact that teenagers get their ears pierced,I think it isn't a big deal for me to do this.I argued with my mother and we were both unhappy.Can yuo tell me how to solve this problem?

I read your problem from the Newsletter.In my opinion,it is silly to argue with your mother.I used to have the same kind of problem as you.I used to wear ripped jeans and my parents disliked them.I showed them some pictures of teens wearing ripped jeans from magazines,and I told them my ideas about clothes.Finally they accepted the fact that I am no longer a child and I needed them to respect my choice.
Arguing is not helpful.Try to talk with your parents in a friendly way.Good luck to you!

I'm sorry to hear that you argued with your mother . I Think you should have a conversation with your mother , and tell her teenagers should be allowed to get ear pierced . But you also have wrong , before you had your ears pierced,you should ask for permission from your family meber . I used to have this terrible things , I can understand your feeling . Now you should say sorry to your mother , try to deal with this problem in a friendly way .
